About this policy

LunaVibe is a Chrome extension for viewing Vietnamese solar and lunar dates, converting dates, following holidays, and optionally displaying seasonal effects on web pages. This policy describes how the LunaVibe extension handles information.

LunaVibe works locally in your browser. It does not require an account and does not send your calendar entries, preferences, or browsing information to the developer or to external processing services.

Information processed on your device

Dates you select or enter are processed locally to display calendar information and perform solar–lunar conversion. LunaVibe uses the current date in Vietnam time (UTC+7) to update the calendar badge and determine when seasonal effects are available.

When effect settings change, LunaVibe queries open HTTP and HTTPS tabs and uses their tab identifiers to attach its bundled effect script. Chrome may expose tab information, including URLs, through this API. LunaVibe does not build a browsing history, retain tab URLs, or send this information outside your browser.

To display interactive effects, LunaVibe processes viewport dimensions, page visibility, your reduced-motion preference, and relevant pointer movements or interactions with its own effect elements. These signals are used in memory to render, resize, pause, or interact with animations. They are not recorded as interaction logs or transmitted.

LunaVibe adds its own visual overlay to supported pages. It does not scrape page text, form entries, passwords, messages, or other website content. It does not read website cookies or website storage.

When you choose Copy in the date converter, LunaVibe writes the requested result to your clipboard. It does not read your clipboard.

Information stored locally

LunaVibe uses Chrome local extension storage to remember:

Your selected calendar tab and date.
Whether seasonal effects are allowed and which events you have enabled.
Your selected effects and effect settings, such as snow density, speed, size, and cursor following.

These preferences remain in your local Chrome profile until they are replaced or the extension’s local data is removed. LunaVibe does not use Chrome Sync storage or maintain a server-side copy. Converted results and transient animation signals are not saved as a history.

Permissions and their purposes

storage: Saves your calendar preferences and seasonal effect settings locally.
alarms: Schedules daily updates of the lunar-date badge, including when the side panel is closed.
sidePanel: Displays the calendar and settings alongside the website you are viewing.
scripting: Applies the bundled effect script to already-open web pages when settings change.
Access to HTTP and HTTPS websites: Allows optional holiday effects to appear on supported websites. A bundled content script checks local settings and renders effects only when enabled and within the event window.

Website access does not mean that LunaVibe uploads the websites you visit. Browser-protected pages may not support effects.

Sharing, tracking, and external code

LunaVibe does not sell, rent, or transfer information processed by the extension. It does not include advertising, analytics, behavioral profiling, or remote crash-reporting services, and it does not use user data for creditworthiness or lending decisions.

Calendar calculations, effect logic, fonts, and effect assets are bundled with the extension. LunaVibe does not download or execute remote code.

Chrome and the Chrome Web Store operate under Google’s own privacy policies. This policy covers the extension; it does not describe the separate data practices of the websites you visit or a website hosting this policy.

Your choices and deletion

You can change your preferences and turn seasonal effects off in LunaVibe. Turning effects off stops them but keeps your preferences. Preview is a separate action that temporarily displays an effect inside the panel.

You can restrict LunaVibe’s site access through Chrome’s extension settings; doing so may prevent website effects from working. You can remove the extension’s locally stored preferences by uninstalling LunaVibe or clearing its extension storage. The developer has no remote copy of these preferences to access or delete.

Limited Use

LunaVibe’s use of information obtained through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Such information is used only to provide the calendar and optional holiday effects described in the extension’s interface and store listing.

Changes to this policy

When LunaVibe’s data practices change, this policy and its last-updated date will be updated. Any additional disclosures or consent required for new data practices will be provided before those practices take effect.
